After five years of continuous hard work and perseverance, Capitant grew from Antwerp to every corner in Flanders with a up to thousand members in our individual cities. For half a decennium we brought our members to their dream jobs in the financial sector and our alumni have spread beyond the Belgian borders. It are these results that keep us fueled for an even brighter next five years.
Student societies do not only party and concern themselves with beer. That is what the board members of Capitant want to prove to the world. Capitant wants to guide its members to the world of finance and motivate them to start investing early. One of our activities is awarding a price to the best stock market trader competing in the Traders Trophy sponsored by Citi Group.
After two successful years in Antwerp and adding a chapter in Leuven, Capitant expands to Brussels and Ghent. Capitant is now represented in the four largest student cities in Belgium and becomes one of the largest student societies in the country.
Five years after the crisis, dark clouds still loom over the financial markets. However, this does not withhold Belgian students from being interested. The professional finance student society organises lectures, finance trips, fictive trade competitions and in the near future, a real investment funds. “A gap in the market!” according to Laetitia Boucquey, director at Capitant Belgium. The amount of members rose from 100 to 1.000.

After founding Capitant in the summer of 2010 and winning the prize for entrepreneurship from UNIZO, Capitant starts it’s first full academic year in Antwerp.
One year after founding Capitant, our founders were presented with the UNIZO Entrepreneurship price as a token for their perseverance and dedication. Having convinced major financial institutions to support their cause, their first year was an astounding success.
