Job Description
Smile Invest is looking for an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial Master’s student or recent graduate for a Private Equity internship starting in January 2026, for a minimum period of 3 months.
The intern will assist the investment team in analyzing investment opportunities, managing the existing portfolio, and conducting market research as a member of Smile Invest’s team of investment professionals. This full-time internship lasts a minimum of 3 months and up to a maximum of 6 months, and takes place at Smile Invest’s office in Leuven.
Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic analyses and evaluate investment opportunities;
- Develop market research, summarize relevant industry insights, and present findings and conclusions to the investment team;
- Assist the investment team in all aspects of deal execution, including market research and financial due diligence.
Qualifications
- Excellent academic results in a technical (e.g., engineering) or economically/financially oriented field of study (e.g., business engineering);
- Strong affinity with corporate finance and investing;
- Assertive personality, attention to detail, able to multitask and work under tight deadlines;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
- Fluent in Dutch (preferably native speaker) and excellent command of English.
